Why our cards are not video files
Videos are heavy and fixed. A scrolling card made from a page stays sharp, light and editable.
Video invitations look great in a demo. On a real phone in a real family group, they can be a problem.
The trouble with video
- Large files that take time to download on mobile data.
- Compression that softens text and detail.
- Nothing can change without making and sending a new video.
- Music in the file can get it muted or flagged if it is a film song.
What we do instead
A Patalox card is a page. It loads quickly and the animation is driven by scrolling, so the guest controls the pace. Text stays sharp because it is text. A short real-footage loop sits only at the top, and the card falls back to a lighter mode on older phones or slow data.
Music
The music is original shehnai and dholak made for the cards, so there is nothing to claim or mute.
